If you want to experience authentic Chinese hot pot, then Little Sheep should be on the top of your list.
Every year I get cravings for hot pot and would go back every week if circumstance allows. All you can eat at $25-30 per visit is quite reasonable and you would no doubt leave with a food coma inducing full stomach.
For those who are not familiar with hot pot, this is definitely not a classy date spot. Wear your worst t-shirt as you are going to smell like spice and grease after the meal. Some heavy scrubbing would be recommended before you head out to somewhere else.
You get to choose the broth – spicy or not spicy. And types of meat – lamb or beef.
There’s also a buffet filled with seafood, vegetables, appetizers etc to complement the meal.
My typical choice: spicy broth and endless plates of lamb.
Accompanied with: leafy vegetables, mushrooms, and tofu. These could soak up the flavor of the soup and taste extra delicious.
And here’s a gem: buns with condensed milk! I think it’s the condensed milk that make everything better. Either way, drench the buns with it and enjoy! It’s addictive…
